Very low cost design

GoodEnoughCNC hybrid is built from standard mechanical components and steel profiles, which makes it affordable. Just basic handtools needed for assembly.

Modular design

Suitable for almost any application referring to the size of material. Because of the modular built the cutting dimensions can be increased with replacing only main structural beams.

Transformable

Using different machining toolheads - hand-held plasma torch, a spindle, laser or some other tool GoodEnoughCNC hybrid can transform from plasma cutter to cnc mill or laser cutter.

Open-source and open-hardware

Published under open-source open-hardware licenses. Fully documented with extensive instructions for assembly available online. You can share or modify it for any purpose, even commercially.


Z axis

Lighter and simpler to manufacture, the Z axis mechanism does not require milled parts like conventional solutions. We're using standard bearing slide guides available in local hardware store.

ToslinkCNC

Hybrid uses fiber optic cnc machine control system, a solution we developed to get rid of ground loops and interference.

Hybrid is transformable

Using different machining tools Hybrid can transform from plasma cutter to cnc mill or laser cutter.
