What is the idea?

Our week long GoodEnoughCNC academy program will empower you to take open hardware out to the field and build fabrication capabilities anywhere around the globe.

You will learn all the necessary skills to build, operate and maintain two GoodEnoughCNC machines, Hybrid and Troublemaker 3D printer and go home with GoodEnoughCNC kit in a suitcase, fully equipped to make your own machine and start using it for your projects. As well, you will learn how to modify the machines to operate on solar power and replicate different open hardware projects.

Warm-up, Maribor sightseeing

Monday, 7th November:

Morning: Intro to GoodEnoughCNC machines, basics of electronics and mechanics for machine building

Afternoon: Troublemaker 3D printer assembly Part 1

Tuesday, 8th November:

Morning: Troublemaker 3D printer assembly Part 2

Afternoon: 3D printer testing and prototyping

Wednesday, 9th November:

Morning: GoodEnoughCNC Hybrid assembly

Afternoon: GoodEnoughCNC testing

Thursday, 10th November:

Morning: GoodEnoughCNC Hybrid toolhead testing

Afternoon: Machines modifications for solar powering

Friday, 11th November:

Replicating open hardware: Aker urban garden kits, Twistab chairs and other projects

  1. Makers, who need the machine for their work – idea testing, prototyping, small series production.
  2. Maker space owners, who want to gain all the necessary knowledge and skills to build machines for their space and/or hold workshops for their communities.
  3. Educators, who want to gain knowledge about digital fabrication to use it at their teaching.
  4. Everyone else interested in acquiring new knowledge, no prevous experience required, just curiosity about digital fabrication and making.

You can reserve your place at GoodEnoughCNC Academy signing up at Fabrikor. You can also register via email. Your reservation will be confirmed when we receive your payment.

Which includes:

  • 5 days of workshops

Note: Travel to Maribor, Slovenia, dinner and Hybrid CNC toolhead not included in this price.
